Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we are situated in ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (amiskwacîwâskahikan) in Treaty 6 territory—the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Settlements and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Regions 2, 3 and 4 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland.

We acknowledge the systemic racism in which Canada (Turtle Island) was founded upon, and recognize the destructive impacts it continues to perpetuate on First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. At Ikigai Integrative, we believe that there is no reconciliation without this truth. We commit to all of the TRC’s Calls to Action, and as a small business to actively work towards the meet the requests outlined in Action #92.
